Dear visitor,
To make your visit as enjoyable and safe as possible and to protect our collection of over 18,000 plant species from around the world we kindly ask you to note the following regulations:
- Visitors may not bring animals into the Garden, except for guide dogs.
- The feeding of birds and other wild animals is forbidden.
- Sports and other active recreation is forbidden (e.g. biking, roller skating, jogging, swimming …)
- We welcome you to walk and sit on our lawns although some areas can be wet throughout the year.
- Picnics are only allowed on the tables of the Pachthof near the Garden Shop or on the terraces of the Orangery.
- Please place all litter in the bins provided.
- It is strictly forbidden to remove plants or parts of from the Garden. Those caught doing so will be prosecuted by the police.
- The making of images of any kind, for commercial purposes is only allowed after written permission given by the Director. Garden staff has the right to ask to see this permission on demand.
- Playing music and making load noises is forbidden.
- Pathway signs should be obeyed at all times.
- For your own safety ice-skating is strictly forbidden.
The decisions of the guards of the National Botanic Garden are final and non negotiable; they should be adhered to all times.
The Direction of the National Botanic Garden can alter these rules and allow exceptions without prior announcement.
By entering the domain, every visitor declares implicitly to agree with the rules above.
