Brussels is a rather expensive town for hotel accommodation. In order to avoid an expensive congress, the practical organisation has not been put in the hands of a third party (congress organiser). Special rates with selected hotels have been negotiated by the symposium organisers. The hotels proposed by the organisers are situated within a reasonable distance from the Botanic Garden. However, transport by bus will always be necessary. As the Garden is located slightly outside Brussels, the hotels chosen are situated in places with easy access to Brussels through public transport (within reasonable walking distance).
Everybody is of course free to organise his or her own arrangements. Transport to the Garden will, however, be organised by the symposium only from the hotels proposed below. The proposed formula is a package including the hotel's room rate, breakfast and all transport to the symposium venue. As it is a package, splitting up of services is not possible.
The hotel reservations of the proposed hotels are handled by the symposium organisers.
The following hotels have been chosen by the symposium organisers. A limited number of rooms will be available at very low price in the Studenthome of the Erasmushogeschool at Jette. These rooms are studentdorm-like, with common shower and toilet at the end of the corridor. A TV-room and studyroom will be available.
